Guardian of the Mountain Ridge is a ready-to-hang canvas print of a long-haired billy goat, horns curving back like twin crescents, gazing straight at you from a loose field of green, violet and burnt orange. The printed brushwork keeps the shaggy coat soft and the expression calm, so the animal feels more like a character than a study.
It works because it is warm and a little wild at the same time. Hang it in a living room above a sideboard, in a farmhouse style dining room, along a hallway that needs a focal point, or in a home office where you want something with personality rather than another abstract. Against grey, charcoal or warm white walls the orange flecks do the lifting, and natural oak or black furniture ties the whole thing together.
Printed on artist grade canvas with fade resistant inks, stretched over a solid wood frame and finished with hanging hardware fitted, so it arrives ready to go on the wall. Choose the optional premium floating frame in black or oak for a gallery finish with a clean shadow line around the edge.
Size tip: go large, 100 x 125 cm or bigger, if the canvas is the only thing on a main wall, since the goat reads best at close to life size. A medium size suits a gallery wall or a narrower stretch of hallway. Pick up the burnt orange in a cushion, throw or ceramic to echo the print across the room.
